Coastal living near the Chesapeake Bay spoils us a bit, wouldn't you say? Want the freshest seafood? Chances are you know a local waterman who caught something just that morning or there's a fresh seafood shack nearby. With these recipes, you can mix up your normal routine and find something to please your palate!

Cedar Planked Miso Salmon:
You won't find salmon in the Chesapeake Bay, but it is a favorite fish and you can find it fresh. This recipe features salmon with a Japanese twist!  Made with a marinade of miso and grilled on a cedar plank.

Blackened Shrimp with Cajun Garlic Butter:  Shrimp by itself is delicious. But throw in a little garlic and butter and you’ve gone from good to great! Because of the simplicity of this recipe, you most likely already have all the ingredients you need, fresh shrimp excluded!

Smoky Wrapped Bacon Trout: Need we say more? Find the recipe here

Herb Marinated Swordfish:
We're close enough to the ocean and the Gulf Stream that we know many of you have likely taken to off shore sport fishing. Catch a swordfish? This simple marinade layers the flavors of shallots, garlic, oregano, thyme, rosemary, basil, mustard and honey, giving this swordfish a classic Mediterranean flair!

Grilled Whole Snapper (or blue fish or rockfish) with Veracruz Salsa and Lemony Potatoes:
Veracruz inspired salsa, Spanish olives and red potatoes all tossed in a lemon vinaigrette create this crowd pleasing meal on a grill!
