Gary Ward to Lead July 25 Grilling Demo At Phillips Energy
Phillips Energy thinks you’ll want to “Scoot” by our location on July 25 for the third installment of the summer grilling series.
On July 25, Gary Ward of Gloucester’s “Scoot’s BBQ” and “Olivia’s In The Village” will take over the grill for a morning of grilling demos and tasty eats.
At 10 a.m., guests are invited to attend the free demo to learn more about grilling tactics and to visit with Ward, a local celebrity chef and friend.
Since 2003, Chef Ward and his family have been serving up the finest seafood, steak and pasta on the Middle Peninsula at Olivia's In The Village.
His skills behind the grill include the perfect sirloin, kabobs and a classic surf n’ turf.
Though Scoot’s BBQ offers a couple of signature dishes from Olivia’s In The Village, such as clam chowder, fish and chips, and crab cakes, their menu is entirely different. Having opened in spring of 2015, it specializes in homemade BBQ. Using hickory and oak wood, they use a large pit smoker to cook meats like pork, beef and turkey.
Phillips Energy offers a variety of gas grills and Primo smokers that will be on display at the series. In addition to this season’s newest gas grills, Phillips Energy offers outdoor accessories such as gas lighting, fire pits, patio heaters and more.
Olivia’s is located at 6597 Main Street in Gloucester Courthouse, Va. For more information, call 804.694.0057.
Scoot’s BBQ is located at 2091 George Washington Memorial Highway in Gloucester Point, Va. For more information, call 804.993.7063.
The summer grilling series runs through the first weekend of August. Saturdays. On the patio. Join us!
