Phillips Energy Tops $13,000 Raised to END ALZ in 2023
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
From our Phillips Phamily to yours, thank you for your incredible support this year of our signature charity, the Alzheimer’s Association.
We’re delighted to announce that to date we have – with your incredible support – raised over $13,000 in our 2023 mission to help END ALZ.
Our fundraising efforts throughout the year – which included a raffle and donation from gas sales at our Gloucester public gas station on the Longest Day – culminated last month at the annual Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The local walk is one of 600 nationwide to support efforts to raise awareness, enhance Alzheimer’s care and fund research to find a cure for the disease that currently affects six million Americans.
Phillips Energy, which thus far has raised $13,450, is the top team for the 2-mile walk that started and ended at Botetourt Elementary School in Gloucester.
John Phillips, President of Phillips Energy, and sister, Elizabeth McCormick, Vice President of the family business, are longtime advocates for the Alzheimer’s Association. Their grandfather and company founder, L. Frank Phillips Sr., died from the disease as did their father, L. Frank Phillips Jr., and Crystal Allmond Phillips, their grandmother.
“We’re grateful for the support the community has once again given us to fight this disease. We’re committed to supporting the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of the family members we’ve lost and in honor of the caregivers whose dedication is tireless,” said Elizabeth. “Thank you to everyone who contributed, including our staff that that joins us in this effort. Everything you give makes a difference.”
Donations can still be made to the Phillips Energy team, Phillips Phamily Pumped to End ALZ.
