Propane Mower Rebate and Incentive Program
Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow this year. And we all know what that means...spring is on the way…and soon!
With the entrance of spring, comes time to power up the lawn mowers to maintain those lush green lawns.
Thanks to the Propane Education and Research Council, now is a great opportunity to earn money back when you purchase a propane-powered mower.
With the Propane Mower Incentive Program, targeted largely at commercial landscape contractors, you can earn $1,000 per qualifying new mower purchase or $500 per qualifying mower conversion. In return, you'll provide feedback and performance data for one mowing season.
The rebate program is available to Virginia propane customers who purchase a new propane commercial mower, or convert an existing commercial gasoline or diesel mower with a propane system. The purchaser of a new commercial mower with an engine approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board and is operated in the Commonwealth of Virginia is eligible to receive the rebate(s).
What do propane-powered commercial mowers offer?
- Lower operating costs.
- Proven performance.
- Fewer emissions.
- Easy on-site refueling and less downtime.
- Reduced fuel spills and pilferage.
- Abundant fuel supply produced in the United States.
A limited number of incentives are available. It is recommended that you apply for participation in the Propane Mower Incentive Program before you make a purchase of a qualifying mower or conversion kit. You will be notified shortly thereafter of your acceptance into the program.
